Language Policy Update: English-Only Submissions

Starting from the 2025 publication cycle, Econetica: Journal of Social, Economic, and Business Sciences will accept manuscripts written in English only.

This policy aims to enhance the journal’s international visibility, improve citation reach, and ensure consistency in the peer-review and indexing process. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts written in clear academic English following the journal’s format and style guidelines.

Submissions written in other languages will no longer be processed or considered for review.

For assistance with language editing, authors may seek professional proofreading services prior to submission.

About the Journal

Econetica: Jurnal Sosial, Ekonomi dan Bisnis (e-ISSN: 2776-6403 | p-ISSN: 2685-1016) is a peer-reviewed and open-access academic journal published by the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia.

The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of social sciences, economics, and business, with a particular focus on Islamic economic thought and issues relevant to emerging economies.

Econetica publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews written in English only beginning in 2025. The thematic scope includes, but is not limited to, Islamic economics and finance, entrepreneurship, economic development, digital economy, public policy, sustainable business, strategic management, financial technology (FinTech), and socio-economic empowerment. Interdisciplinary, comparative, and empirically grounded studies are especially encouraged.

The journal is published on a biannual basis and follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All accepted manuscripts are freely available under open-access principles, and the journal applies no article processing charges (APCs), reflecting its commitment to equitable and accessible scholarly communication.

Note: The journal’s title change from Jurnal Econetica: Jurnal Sosial, Ekonomi dan Bisnis to Econetica: Jurnal Sosial, Ekonomi dan Bisnis is currently under evaluation by the National ISSN Center (BRIN).
